Florida Condo Rentals

There are many important factors to consider when looking for a condo rental for your Florida vacation. When you are comparing condo buildings, it is important that you have all the same facts so you can make an accurate comparison. Below are some typical things that you should look at when comparing rentals.

1. Location of rental. Do you want a beach front, beach view or close to beach location? There is a big difference in pricing. For example you could get a condo rental that is across the street from the beach for significantly less than a beach front rental. It really depends on your flexibility and also how often you will be frequenting the beach.

2. Length of your stay. Most rentals rent by the week. If you plan to stay more than 7 days, you may end up paying a premium for the extra days.

3. Maid Service. Some condo rentals do not provide any maid service. Others will supply once a week service or every other day service. Verify what type of service is provided with your rental so that you are prepared when you visit.

4. Cleaning Fees. There may be a standard cleaning fee added to your weekly rate.

5. Deposits Required. Typically condo rentals made directly with the owner will require a 100% deposit. Rentals made from larger establishment may only require 1 nights rent or a small percentage of your total bill.

6. Ages of Guests. Some places will charge extra for every guest over the age of 18.

7. Beach Chairs. There may be an extra charge per day to rent beach loungers and chairs. Some rental locations will include so many chairs on the beach per unit.

8. Tailored to Small Children. There are condo rental units that are geared toward small children. There may be kiddie pools, lazy rivers and activities for small children.

9. Guest Reviews. It is always good to read guest reviews for any condo rental that you are thinking about. Reviews will give you a great idea of what you can expect if you stay at a certain location. Many of the rentals by owners may not have any reviews posted online.

10. Age of Building. Find out when the building or unit was built. If the age of the rental is 20-30 years old, find out if there have been renovations done. Also, if the building is brand new, you may also experience issues.
